Random pictures...

Hello all... It has been a while since I have put any pictures on the blog. Things have been busy. David's grandmother passed away, this was expected but much harder on Isabella than I anticipated. Big grandma (as Isabella called her) has lived with Dave's mom since before Isabella was born. Isabella has has a hard time watching her deteroriate over the past few months. Big Grandma was 91years old. She was buried in Missouri, Dave went to the services. We thought it was best for me to stay here with the kids. Isabella could not stop talking or asking questions about Big Grandma the days after her death, some of which were hard for me to answer. How much do you tell a 4yr old?? To help Isabella we went and bought balloons and I let Isabella release them to heaven for her. This really helped her say goodbye, over the course of the following days you could tell Isabella had peace in her heart that Big Grandma was no longer here with us. This is the first person in our family to pass since Isabella has been born. I wish I would have taken pictures of her releasing the balloons, I just didn't think about taking the camera.

On a Happier Note... Both of the kids have had a good summer. Isabella has been transitioning to her new class in school. She has had some separation anxiety from her teacher from last year(Ms. Robin). She was upset a few days ago that Ms. Robin could no longer be her teacher, Isabella told her she wanted her to be her teacher until she was 10. This made Ms. Robin feel very special. Isabella felt better when Ms. Robin told her she would still get to see her at school, just not be her teacher. The official school year will start on the 25th of Aug. Vincent is growing by leaps, the things her learns from day to day is amazing. Isabella is having fun playing with him. It's nice to seen them play together.

Vincent has decided that baby food really isn't that good and would rather eat what we are eating. This is fine with me but I worry about him getting the right amount of nutrition. While speaking with a friend of mine about different food options for a 9mo old that are healthy and safe, spaghetti was suggested!!! Here are the results.....

HE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a HUGE mess, but fun to watch him lick the spaghetti sauce off his tray. I couldn't give him enough fast enough!!(Thanks for the suggestion Wendi) You can't tell but he has pasta in each hand.

Isabella loves to help me cook, always in the apron and chef's hat,
she is making us some ready made chocolate chip cookies. All you have to do is scoop and bake, perfect a 4 yr old, very little supervision needed.
They were delicious!!!!!

Vincent wanting to go outside with his sister, Isabella trying to get back inside.
I just love the way this picture looks.

Several weeks ago Vincent had his 9mo. well child exam. Both is pediatrician and I are pleased with his development and growth. He weighed19lbs and was 28in long. He is a fast crawling machine, pulls up on everything and cruises around furniture. He has become very opinionated about what he does and does not like. He loves to take a bath, could spend hours if I let him, and screams the moment I take him out. He hates getting dressed. A few weeks ago he weaned from the bottle, he prefers his milk straight from the source, ME!! This does make it a little difficult when I'm not around. He has gotten good at taking from a cup, we are still working on how to use a sippy cup. He has grown to have a very special love for his sister, you can see the excitement on his face when she is the one to get him in the morning or after she comes home after being gone for a while. It makes me very happy as a mother to see that special smile, just for her.

Ethan was the same way at Vinnies age, forget baby food I want the real stuff. Enjoy it! Now, all my child wants to eat is chicken nuggets and eggos ... ha!

And tell Isabella good cooking skills will get her very far in life! So fun to see the updates, say hi to everyone from us Northerners :)
