Just had to share...

Today Isabella was at my mother in laws and she found her bag of birthday gifts. I'm not sure how the conversation went, but Isabella came home with one of her gifts. She picked her Lite Bright. Needless to say we haven't stopped playing with it. I guess her birthday is starting a little early this year. Her dad used to do this as a kid. I better start finding some good hiding spots!!!!

Random pictures...

Trying to eat his baby einstein mat.

We just got the saucer out for him, he has been having fun with all the toys on it. He has actually been able to spin himself around and bounce.

Reaching and grabbing for toys on my swing. He really likes the mirrors.

Beautiful Day...

Yesterday afternoon was beautiful. Isabella asked if we could go out and lay in the sun and enjoy the day. Of course I said Yes, Vincent was awake and able to enjoy the afternoon with us. This is the first time his bare feet touched grass, he kept picking them up and putting them back down. He also rolled off the towel we were laying on and was taken at the sounds and feel of the grass. He just kept looking and grabbing at it and trying to put it in his mouth. This was fun for me to watch. Isabella was laying on her towel watching the clouds go by, telling me what each cloud looked like to her. It was a wonderful afternoon together. Hopefully one of those childhood afternoons she will remember one day when she has her own children.

Happy Birthday PaPa!!

March 12th was my dad's birthday. We brought balloons to his office to surprise him. He always loves a visit from his grandchildren. This was Vincent's first trip to PaPa's office. We are going to cook him lunch this Saturday to really celebrate!!

Vincent

Vincent had his 4mo well baby exam today. We have been waiting to have this appointment so we could see our favorite pediatrician Dr. Baca. She is just returning from her own maternity leave and we are excited that she is back. She has been wonderful to Isabella over the years and we are excited to have her take care of Vincent. She said that he looked great and was doing well. I can't believe how big he is getting. I thought this picture of him on the scale was cute...
Weight: 15lbs 2 1/4 oz
Length: 26in

Texas Weather!!!

Texas weather can be hard to keep up with. Wed. April 5th was a beautiful day. About 75 degrees and sunny. Isabella and I played outside for a few hours while Vincent slept. It was a really nice afternoon for us.

Isabella wanted to go swimming, we settled on just playing in her pool.

We woke up Friday April 7th to a big surprise: SNOW!! Isabella was so excited that by 715 we were dressed and outside playing as much as we could before it melted. Vincent was not as impressed with the snow, he just stayed inside.

Snow angels!!

The same pool from Wed, now with snow and ice on it!!

Always fun to chase mom and throw snowballs!!!

We don't need much of a reason to bake at our house...

The finished product.

The best part of baking in our opinion
!!

Dave has left again to go on another business trip. He will be in and out alot over the next few months. Unfortunately this trip means missing both his and Isabella's birthdays. Isabella wanted to make something special for her dad, so we made him one of his favorites desserts, Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Baking is something that Isabella really loves to do, she has gotten very good at using the mixer and cracking eggs all by herself , without making a mess.

She is already begging me to make St. Paddy's Day cupcakes.

Finger or Thumb??

I noticed that Vincent could not decide between sucking on his thumb or chewing on his finger, so he just did both. His drool production has increased dramatically over the past few weeks and he can't seem to keep his hands out of his mouth. Maybe some teeth are coming!?!

Thanks Grandma..

My grandma, better known as GG, made a sling ring for me. It really is a nice way to carry Vincent and have my hands free. Thanks Grandma!!!
