Isabella had her end of year school picnic today. All the kids got to play at the park, have lunch and best of all.... Popsicles!! They all had fun and it was a nice way to end the school year!! Enjoy the pictures and have a nice weekend!!!

Childhood...

David bought Isabella a snorkel set the other day, she loves it so much she has had to sleep with it at nap time. I thought this picture was too cute!!

We got a pretty good rain the other evening....
I think these pictures speak for themselves!!

Isabella

Last Tuesday Isabella's school had a graduation ceremony for all the 4-5 yr olds that are going on to kindergarten in the fall. Isabella and a few of her classmates were asked to sing. It was really nice to watch her perform the songs she learned in class. They all looked cute and had fun. Her school offers a summer program, Dave and I have decided that her schedule of Mon and Wed 0830-1230 works really well for us and her, so we are going to let her continue through the summer. She will get to take a few weeks off for swim lessons and other family fun. During the summer, they will transition her to the pre-k class slowly so the change won't be so dramatic in the fall.

Fun pictures..

Getting a ride from my sister!!!

If you read previous blogs, this is the toy chest I built for Vincent. Although the left over 8 screws and 4 brackets are not 100% needed, Dave does think he should put them on for stability. Why does putting kids things together have to be so complicated?????

Hi....

Here are a few pictures from the week. Not much going on....
David is coming home tomorrow, I am so excited!!!!!!!!!
I haven't told Isabella yet, I always wait until I know for sure he coming and on time, we have been disappointed before. She will be really excited to wake up from her nap and have daddy home. David should be home for 3 WEEKS!!!
I can hardly believe that Vincent will be 7mo. old tomorrow. You can't tell very well from this picture, (Isabella took this picture) but he is getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth. I think he is getting frustrated that he can't move forward. Before we know it he will be crawling.

Tonight we were having dinner and I turned my back for a second, in that second he decided that he was big enough to feed himself.

I really don't remember how Isabella got hooked on the movie ET, but she is. Friday we had a movie night and watched ET. She loves every moment of that movie. We all snuggled in our bed, had snacks and watched, it was fun for everyone.

Roller skating...

I have tried to spend quality one on one time with Isabella every few weeks since Vincent was born. She started calling it 'Girls Day', no stinky boys allowed. Today we went to the rollerskating rink for the first time. A few months ago Dave bought her roller skates, she has been practicing in our garage and driveway. She has gotten pretty good, so I thought this would be fun. She did excellent and had a great time. She participated in the limbo competition and won. First time for limbo and to win on roller skates was quite impressive. Her prize was a bag of popcorn, which she shared with mom. This was the first time I have been on roller skates since I was about 9 or 10 years old. Let me tell you this evening I hurt in places I did not know I had. Next time I think I will just watch. I think the next 'Girls Day' is going to be more relaxing, maybe a pedicure.

After 2 hours of skating I finllay hear: Mom... I'm tired!!!

Having fun...

It has been a busy week. Mom and I went shopping at Ikea. I like some of the things you can get at the store, but having to put them together can be quite challenging. Vinny needed a place to put all of his toys so, I bought at book shelf/storage bin thing for his room. I put it together, following the directions step by step. I think it looks great, the only problem is I ended up with 8 screws and 4 brackets that I did not use. I think they were just unnecessary. Dave said that I should save the directions and parts and he would check it out when he gets home. I fully believe that he will agree that these parts are unnecessary. I will let you know.
Today mom and I took the kids to Cameron Park Zoo. We went early before it got to hot and we had a great time. This was Vinny's first trip and he did great. Isabella loves going and had a great time showing her brother all the animals. She has been going since she was about his age.
At the entrance of the zoo, ready to go!!

Splashing around!!

Playing in the park area.

Isabella was yelling "Hey elephant, you want a piece of me?" It was funny!!

Spending some time in Vincent's new swimming pool. I explained to Isabella that she was to big, but she insisted that her brother needed her help. She splashed him the whole time and he just laughed. I think we will spend a lot of time in that pool this summer.

Time for shots...

Vincent had his 6mo. well infant check today. He is growing like a weed, he is 16lbs 11oz and 27in long. Dr. Baca was pleased with his growth and development. He had to get 3 shots and 1 oral vaccine. He tolerated them pretty well. I always feel so sorry for infants, because they have no idea what is coming. We are going to spend the afternoon at home relaxing and taking tylenol. This evening we have a 'Block party' with all of our neighbors, should be fun. Hope everyone has a nice weekend.

Hugs

Here are some fun pictures of the kids, Isabella wanted to hug her brother before she went down for her nap. I thought they looked so cute. I love the way they look at each other. They can make each other laugh.
