Two years ago our dog, Harker passed away. Isabella immediately asked for another dog. Dave and I were heart broken and just could not think of another dog at the time. Over the past two years Isabella has asked for every imaginable pet, we have always said no and promised her another dog. We finally kept that promise. About 6months ago we decided we were ready for a dog in the house, but we knew we would wait until we found the right one. Our neighbor works at the second chance shelter in Killeen, he told me about a dog that sounded just right. On Friday we went just to "see" him, instead we came home with him. We were able to spend some time with the dog and the kids alone, this was great because we got to see how the kids and dog interacted. Vincent grabbed his eye and the dog just licked his hand. He never barked, not even at the other dogs. Before Dave and I really had a chance to talk he was telling the lady at the desk we wanted to adopt him. I guess he could tell by my reaction to the dog that there was no way we were leaving without him. He did not have a name, so as we were getting in the car with him Dave said I think we should name him Rocco. So Rocco it is. Words can not even express how excited Isabella is. Vincent loves to watch him.

Crate training~~ Sort of. We have had to explain the crate repeatedly to Isabella, she wants to spend every second with Rocco.
